Erie Café is River North's preeminent classic Chicago steak house. Established since 1994, Erie Café's classic club-like atmosphere blends a cedar ceiling and exposed brick walls with wood paneling. The architecturally significant building was carefully rehabbed from its food packing roots, and features arched stone windows overlooking Chicago's Loop.  Located along the North Branch of the Chicago River, for the last 30 years Erie Cafe has offered the experience of hand butchered prime-aged steaks, chops, and Italian house specialties.

The Erie Café is the perfect setting for casually elegant dining and seats 380 guests. Entertain family, friends, or business associates in River North's best private banquet room, which can accommodate groups of 20, up to 200 people. Custom menu selections can be created to suit any occasion. The banquet room features a fully complimented bar, wood dance floor, and wood-burning fireplace.

The Erie Café boasts the best outside dining experience, with vistas of the Chicago River and south facing city skyline for between 50 and 200 people from May 1st to November 1st.

From one of Chicago's oldest restaurant families, with nearly 100 years of hospitality in River North, EJ, Larry, & Ron Lenzi Jr. now bring generations of classic Chicago steakhouse management experience to the re-established historic Erie Café, where their grandfather Gene Michelotti once worked. One of the family members is always there to take care of you.
